The patient check-in company triumphs in a who’s who of top companies in the wireless health sector
NEW YORK, N.Y.—May 17, 2011—Phreesia was awarded the TripleTree iAward for Operational Effectiveness at the Wireless-Life Sciences Alliance (WLSA) Convergence Summit in San Diego, Calif.
Phreesia was selected as the winner based on the efficiencies it achieves in medical practices through the implementation of its wireless, touchscreen mobile tablet for patient self-service check-in. The PhreesiaPad, together with the Phreesia software, replaces the traditional patient clipboard and automates the check-in process for patients and practice staff. Patients enter their demographic, insurance and clinical information, as well as pay their copayments and balances, directly on the PhreesiaPad. The solution is HIPAA-compliant and captures electronic signatures on all required consent forms, and it integrates with existing practice management and electronic health record systems. Now used by thousands of medical practices nationwide, Phreesia streamlines the check-in process for office staff and patients, enhances patient-clinician dialogue and improves overall quality of care.
Recognizing innovation, insight and initiative in the wireless life sciences industry, TripleTree’s third annual iAward program showcased the top companies, healthcare providers, payers, investors, policy makers and innovators who aim to improve healthcare delivery through wireless communication technologies. Among over 100 applicants, Phreesia’s fellow finalists in the Healthcare Operational Effectiveness category included Mobisante, Palomar Pomerado Health and Wound Technology Network.
“Phreesia is honored to be awarded the coveted iAward,” said Chaim Indig, President and CEO of Phreesia. “The recognition from both TripleTree and WLSA is a testament to our employees, clients and partners who have contributed wholeheartedly to delivering the best patient check-in solution and changing the way patients engage in their healthcare.”
TripleTree’s Senior Director and Chief Marketing Office Chris Hoffmann says, “We selected Phreesia as the recipient of this award because its solution goes a long way to addressing many of the challenges in healthcare today. The portable, self-service PhreesiaPad ensures that all data is legible and up to date, and it has been successful in significantly increasing collections at the point of care. Phreesia’s solution provides many benefits, for providers and patients alike.”
