The problem
For a long time, CovenantCare Practices’ daily operations ran entirely on manual workflows with no technology to assist or reduce staff members’ administrative burden.
But following an ownership change, CovenantCare set a goal to “work smarter, not harder.” The organization began searching for technology to streamline important aspects of its operations and better utilize providers’ schedules.
The solution
Phreesia’s seamless integration with CovenantCare’s EHR system and its ability to capture key patient information through digital intake made the platform stand out among the vendors CovenantCare considered.
Now, the organization uses Phreesia at all four of its locations—particularly to streamline patient outreach and education, as well as to prompt preventive care appointments.

When CovenantCare’s Medicare patients stay current with their annual wellness visits, it improves their providers’ MIPS scores, helping CovenantCare achieve a positive Medicare payment adjustment. At the same time, it gives CovenantCare more opportunities to assess and report risk-adjusted diagnoses for MA beneficiaries.
