Our story
When we founded Phreesia in 2005, we saw an opportunity to help patients take an active role in their care. Our innovative technology empowers healthcare organizations to better understand their patients and equip them with the knowledge, skills and confidence to succeed.
With robust tools for registration, scheduling, payments and clinical support, Phreesia helps providers maximize efficiency and create great patient experiences. Today, we facilitate approximately 180 million patient visits annually—and activating patients is at the core of everything we do.

Chaim Indig has served as Phreesia’s Chief Executive Officer and a member of its Board since co-founding the company in 2005. Indig has dedicated his career to helping shape the healthcare experience and improve outcomes for patients, providers and staff. Under his leadership, Phreesia has established a broad national footprint, developed strategic partnerships with some of the world’s largest healthcare companies, and earned accolades for the company’s role in helping to making care more efficient and patient-centered. He also led Phreesia through its initial public offering in 2019 and was named one of The Software Report’s Top 50 SaaS CEOs in 2025. Prior to co-founding Phreesia, Indig spearheaded the introduction of the analytics software company, Spotfire, Inc., into the pharmaceutical marketing space.

Since co-founding Phreesia in 2005, Evan Roberts has led the company’s efforts to bring the highest value to its clients. Evan oversees Phreesia’s ongoing operations and procedures, including designing and implementing business practices and establishing policies that promote the company’s culture and vision. As President, Provider Solutions, he also oversees Phreesia’s Provider business, including Customer Solutions, Customer Operations, Sales and Sales Development. He previously served as Chief Technology Officer, and as Vice President, Customer Solutions.
Prior to co-founding Phreesia, Evan was a senior sales engineer at Spotfire, where he helped to penetrate new markets, resulting in significant net new revenue. There, he developed innovative applications and trained and managed his team to support and nurture these new markets. He holds a BS in computer engineering from Tufts University.

As Chief Financial Officer, Balaji Gandhi leverages more than 25 years of executive experience to oversee the company’s budgeting, forecasting, monthly reporting, financial analysis, internal controls and investor relations.
Prior to joining Phreesia, he spent nearly a decade in leadership roles at companies including Madaket Health, Press Ganey and Fresenius Medical Care, where he worked across finance, corporate development, strategy and investor relations. He also spent more than a decade as an investment research analyst in the healthcare services market at several financial and investment firms, including Deutsche Bank, GE Capital and Oppenheimer & Co., Inc. Balaji holds a master’s degree in health services administration from The George Washington University and a BA from the University of Rochester.

David Linetsky is responsible for cultivating Phreesia’s partnerships with life sciences companies, advocacy groups, government agencies and other organizations, supporting them in the development of healthcare products that deliver value and engage patients in their care. He has worked at Phreesia for more than a decade and held key leadership roles, including Vice President of Analytics and Insights, and Vice President of Finance.
Prior to joining Phreesia, David worked in academia as a researcher and instructor in the fields of biotechnology, mathematics and philosophy. David holds a BS in mathematics from the University of Alberta. He also earned a master’s degree and was a PhD candidate in mathematics and logic at the City University of New York.

Matt oversees Phreesia’s budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis activities, and advises how to most effectively utilize Phreesia’s financial resources. He also worked at Verizon Communications in a variety of finance functions including Pricing and FP&A. Yvonne oversees Phreesia’s revenue recognition and the quote-to-cash operations functions in the finance department. She began her career at Skadden Arps. As Phreesia’s Assistant General Counsel for General Contracts, Tiffany negotiates the commercial agreements for the enterprise partners, providers and procurement vendors, and counsels the leadership and sales teams on other complex compliance, risk, privacy and security issues. She has more than 18 years of legal and people-management experience.
Prior to joining Phreesia, she served as Senior In-House Counsel at Accenture LLP. Prior to her tenure at Accenture LLP, Tiffany was an Associate at Arnstein & Lehr LLP in Chicago. She began her career as a Computer Systems Analyst at Hewitt & Associates. As Chief Privacy Officer, Melissa Mitchell leverages her extensive experience as an attorney, as well as a compliance and privacy professional, to advise on data privacy matters and administer Phreesia’s global privacy policies.
Prior to joining Phreesia, Melissa served as the Chief of Privacy for Amazon Health Services, where she supported several different domestic and international businesses and projects in the healthcare space. She also previously served as the Compliance and Privacy Officer at Shirley Ryan AbilityLab, an inpatient rehabilitation facility, and in the same role at Sinai Health, a multi-specialty safety net system in southwest Chicago. As Chief Information Security Officer, Nick exercises his broad experience and background from multiple industries to advise on cybersecurity risks and guide Phreesia’s enterprise information security program.
Nick Kemske has more than 15 years of experience building cybersecurity teams in higher education, financial services, retail, distribution and Software as a Service (SaaS) organizations. At SPS Commerce, he was accountable for security operations, incident response, forensics, e-discovery, security engineering and acquisitions. Nick holds a M.S. in Security Technologies from the University of Minnesota, SANS certifications and is an alumnus of the FBI Citizen’s Academy.

As the leader of Phreesia’s Product Management team, Kristin Roberts is responsible for driving the product vision and roadmap in order to solve problems for our clients and help patients become more active and involved in their healthcare.
Before joining Phreesia in 2014, Kristin was a management consultant at Booz & Company, where she led product launch and growth strategy engagements for its life sciences clients. She also worked as a consultant at ZS Associates, specializing in quantitative physician market research and sales deployment optimization. Kristin earned an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BA in public health studies from Johns Hopkins University.

Prior to joining Phreesia, Sally spent seven years in product management with HealthStream, a leading provider of healthcare workforce development. She also assisted in executing clinical trials and served on the institutional review board at Centerstone, one of the nation’s largest behavioral healthcare organizations. Sally holds an MBA from Vanderbilt University and an A.B. in psychology from Duke University.

As VP of Product Management, David oversees Phreesia’s integration products and works with the company’s Product team to provide clients with integration and automation solutions. He has over a decade of experience developing integrated product in the healthcare industry, including FDA 510(k)-regulated and healthcare interoperability standards-based products.
Prior to joining Phreesia, David spent seven years in product development at Capsule Tech, a medical device integration company, where he oversaw the development of hundreds of medical device integrations, managed design controls and successfully passed multiple FDA 510k audits for Capsule Tech’s medical-grade software products. In addition, David participated in the early stages of the IHE Patient Care Devices Domain working group, developing some of the initial implementations of these IHE standards. He studied computer engineering at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.

Prior to joining Phreesia, Elizabeth worked at various financial institutions and advertising agencies, specializing in measurement and growth strategies. Elizabeth holds an MPH from the University of Pennsylvania and an BBA in Finance and Public Policy from The George Washington University.

Russell joined Phreesia in 2013 to further expand the organization’s patient payment services. With over 15 years of software engineering and agile project management experience, Russell continues to lead Phreesia’s Payments engineering group, along with a new focus on improving Phreesia’s appointment-scheduling systems.
Before joining Phreesia, Russell led several engineering teams across multiple industries while serving as a Solutions Architect and Director for Matrix Resources. While at Matrix, Russell championed multiple agile software development processes, which he continues to do at Phreesia. He holds a BSBA in Management Information Systems from the University of West Florida.

Previously, Michael was Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Optum Ventures. He was Co-Founder and CEO of Humedica, a pioneer and leader in the field of population health management and big data. Following Humedica’s acquisition by UnitedHealth Group (UHG), Michael broadened his role as President and CEO of Optum Analytics. Prior to launching Humedica, he was a Senior Managing Director at Leerink Partners (now SVB Leerink). Michael was CEO of PharMetrics, which was acquired by IMS Health (now IQVIA). He focuses on healthcare innovation as an Entrepreneur in Residence at Harvard Business School, an Advisory Board member of the Innovation and Digital Health Accelerator at Boston Children’s Hospital, and is on the board of The College Diabetes Network (CDN).
