Send patients automated E&B summaries before their visit
What’s new: With Appointment Readiness, you can send automated eligibility and benefits summaries to patients with eligible insurance after they’ve completed pre-visit registration. The summary includes details on their deductibles and out-of-pocket maximums.
You can customize this workflow per location, visit type, provider or insurance type associated with patients’ visits. All messages direct patients to contact their payer if they have questions.
How this helps you: Proactively providing financial clarity helps patients understand and maximize their benefits while reducing calls to your front desk with insurance questions.
What’s next: The Appointment Readiness feature is in early access.
Brand your Appointment Reminders calls without contacting support
What’s new: Prerecorded Appointment Reminders phone calls come from your organization’s phone number—and you can now set up this feature without contacting Phreesia’s support team.
How this helps you: Displaying your organization’s phone number rather than a default number increases answer rates by 21% and patient follow-up actions by 16%. That means patients are more likely to confirm or cancel their appointments ahead of time.
Next steps: See directions for setting up call branding here.
Save 8 minutes of staff time per rebooked appointment!
What’s new: Phreesia’s Appointment Accelerator tool is available for eClinicalWorks!
How this helps you: No-shows, provider bumps and cancellations can leave open slots in providers’ schedules and delay patient care. Now, you can see patients 28 days sooner and keep clinicians’ schedules full—without a single phone call.
Appointment Accelerator automatically fills openings in your schedule with clinically relevant patients who are booked further in the future.

Analytics
View more intuitive, useful reports for patient question insights (PQI) and notifications
What’s new: Our review notifications report now shows notifications triggered vs. actioned for visits up to two weeks in the future. Our PQI report now allows you to add patients’ account IDs as a new data point.
How this helps you: Get all the data you need more quickly and easily, and monitor data ahead of time to stay prepared.
Next steps: These updates will be automatically enabled on the reports.
Communications
Provide additional flexibility for text-message communication preferences
What’s new: Allow patients to opt out of specific text message types without opting out of all text message types. For example, a patient can opt out of Patient Surveys messages but continue to receive Patient Chat and Health Campaigns messages. You can manage these preferences through your Dashboard.
How this helps you: You’ll give patients greater control over their communication preferences if they’d prefer not to receive certain messages while ensuring you can still reach them with other messages. Plus, patients no longer need to reply “stop” to texts they don’t want to receive, which improves the reputation of your organization’s phone number with mobile carriers.
Next steps: This feature will be automatically enabled upon release.
Test voice templates quickly and easily
What’s new: You can send tests of your Appointment Reminders voice messages directly to your organization’s phone number so you can preview them.
How this helps you: You no longer need to create test appointments and wait for voice messages to be sent before previewing. It’ll be quicker than ever to confirm your voice messages are high-quality—which will improve the efficacy of your Appointment Reminders.
Voice reminders: Voice previews will be automatically available if you use Appointment Reminders, have voice messaging enabled and have permission to edit communication templates.

Optimize self-scheduling question sets
What’s new: We are limiting custom question sets in the self-scheduling workflow to 20 questions per section.
How this helps you: As we prepare to add additional logic capabilities to question sets later this year, we want to ensure we continue to optimize the patient experience. Additionally, adding too many questions to self-scheduling forms can confuse patients and prompt them to call instead. Limiting each section to 20 questions will help prevent that.
Next steps: This update will be automatically enabled upon release.
Load the Appointments Hub more quickly
What’s new: We are reducing the maximum amount of time we display Appointment Confirmation data in the hub from one year to six months.
How this helps you: We have seen an increase in the amount of time it takes to load the “Appointment Confirmations” tab, and some filters have been negatively impacted by the amount of data. Clearing this information from the Hub will help it load more quickly.
The data we’re removing can still be found in the dashboard reports if needed.
Next steps: This update will be automatically enabled on the reports. Soon, we will enable a new setting to configure data retention for the “Appointment Confirmation” tab.
