Welcome to the first new release of 2025!

Save $11 per inbound phone call—and give your staff time back every day

What’s new: Introducing Phreesia Answer! Our HIPAA- and HITRUST-compliant solution automatically answers and routes patient calls, records and transcribes patient messages, and redirects eligible requests into a secure two-way text message chat.

How this helps you: Phreesia Answer helps you save staff time, increase patient satisfaction and reduce costs associated with calls. Redirect your most common calls into texts, such as appointment scheduling, prescription refills, records requests and so much more.

Free trial: Manage last-minute schedule changes during winter weather

What’s new: Have you had to close your office or delay opening during a winter storm this year? Save your staff from scrambling to call and reschedule patients next time: With Patient Chat and Appointment Accelerator, you can inform and rebook them automatically.

How this helps you: Patient Chat can automate emails and text messages to your patient population as soon as you decide to close the office. Then, Appointment Accelerator finds the next available slots and offers them to patients that need rescheduling.

Share your feedback on our new Medicare Advantage alert

What’s new: In our 24.9 release, we added an alert on your Phreesia Dashboard that helps you easily identify patients with a Medicare Advantage plan. Now, we’re looking for your feedback!

How this helps you: The Medicare Advantage alert makes it easier to submit patients’ claims to the correct entity, reducing denials and increasing patient satisfaction.

Next step: Has the alert helped your organization reduce denials? We’d love to hear about your experience! Fill out this three-question survey and let us know! Sharing your feedback helps us continue to improve this and other features going forward.

Analytics

See referral requests without delay

What’s new: We’ve updated the Appointment Requests analytics report so it will display the accurate number of referral requests you’ve received within 24 hours.

Previously, referral requests from the Appointments Hub didn’t always flow into the Appointment Requests analytics report within that timeframe.

How this helps you: You’ll no longer need to pull referral data from the Appointments Hub—the analytics report we generate has everything you need.

Next step: This update will be automatically available.

Communications

Customize high-quality patient emails

What’s new: You can now preview the formatting of custom patient emails from the editing screen. You’ll see HTML formatting, titles and buttons as they will appear when patients receive them.

How this helps you: Previews are no longer restricted to plain text in the editing screen, so there’s no need to save and exit to find the preview. It’s quicker and easier to ensure your emails look exactly the way you want them.

Next step: This functionality will be automatically available.

Phreesia Library

Phreesia offers a library of standardized tools and best-practice content designed to align with industry recommendations and increase completion rates. These pre-built modules can be seamlessly added to your existing intake workflows. Organizations that use these modules see a 9.5% lower drop rate, and patients complete interviews 48.8% faster compared to custom content.

We deploy new and updated content every release. Contact your Phreesia representative to get started!

Standardized tools

We now offer the following clinically validated patient-reported outcomes (PROs).

Rate Your Plate (RYP)

This tool measures the nutritional quality of patients’ typical food intake. It includes 24 questions assessing what and how much patients eat across 16 food categories to help evaluate their diets and identify any areas for improvement.

Wender Utah Rating Scale (WURS) – Full

In addition to the shortened, 25-item version of WURS, we now offer the full, 61-item version.

This tool assesses adults for childhood ADHD symptoms, helping providers identify whether patients require further evaluation toward a formal diagnosis.

Best-practice content

The Phreesia team develops patient interviews based on your feedback to help you collect high-quality patient-reported information. We employ best practices from leading medical organizations and industry leaders when developing these questionnaires.

Update to PHR: Sliding Fee Scale

We’ve improved our PHR: Sliding Fee Scale module, which collects financial information to help determine whether patients may be eligible for financial assistance, to account for state-specific poverty thresholds.

If a patient may be eligible for support based on their household income and family size, their results will be flagged with an icon.

The updates will be available upon release for organizations that have enabled the PHR: Sliding Fee Scale module. To enable the module, reach out to your Phreesia representative.
