Updates to Clinical Reconciliation

We’ve updated some functionality within the Clinical Reconciliation function for organizations using Oracle Health. These changes include:

  • Adjusting how we process timeout errors. Previously, when a user encountered a timeout error in a test environment, duplicate Problems would be saved to Oracle. This fix ensures that when a timeout occurs, duplicate Problems cannot be accidentally saved.
  • Removing the SNOMED code from the Problem picklist. Removing this unnecessary code provides more space for useful clinical descriptions and makes it easier to find and select the correct Problem you want to save to Cerner.
  • Showing the number of actionable records on each tab. You’ll no longer need to click on tabs to see whether they contain data.

These updates are currently available to organizations in the Phreesia beta program that use Oracle. If you’re interested in joining this beta opportunity, reach out to your Phreesia representative or email betaprogram@phreesia.com.

Medication Adherence report (early access)

We’ve created a new report that summarizes information for organizations using our Medication Adherence solution (Intent to Fill survey). This report makes it easier to read patient responses to the survey, including any barriers they might face in filling their prescription.

You can view data by provider, medication or by each patient. These insights make it easier than ever to follow up with patients who don’t intend to fill prescriptions and can help providers address their pain points.

Reach out to your Phreesia representative or email betaprogram@phreesia.com if you’re interested in joining this early access opportunity.

Communications

Improvements to the Patient Communication Dashboard

We’ve made it easier to identify the type of communication you’re sending to patients from the Dashboard.

Previously, communication types were categorized broadly, which could lead to confusion. We will now be using more specific names in the ‘Communication Type’ column of the Manage Patient Communications Dashboard page. For example, instead of simply displaying “Mobile Registration,” the Dashboard will specify “Pre-visit,” “In-office Check-in,” or “Post-visit Check-out.”

Additionally, when you hover over the ‘Communication Type’ column on the Manage Patient Communications Dashboard page, you’ll now see a tooltip that displays the specific name of the communication template. (Note that this tooltip is not yet available for Patient Chat or Broadcast messages.)

The more specific ‘Communication Type’ field is currently only available for Phreesia’s default templates; we’ll extend it to custom templates in future releases.

This functionality will be automatically available upon release.

New icon for Medicare Advantage alert

We’ve made it easier to identify which of your patients have Medicare Advantage (MA) plans to help reduce claim denials.

When patients have MA plans, their claims must be submitted to the MA plan. If the claim is sent to Medicare, the claim will get denied. Previously, we displayed a red superscript “A” to indicate these patients. The “A” was difficult for some users to see. That means staff sometimes missed the alert and submitted the claim to Medicare rather than MA, resulting in denials.

With our new, more legible icon, staff can easily identify patients with an MA plan and submit claims to the correct entity.

The updated alert will automatically replace the old alert if your organization has the alert enabled. To enable it, navigate to Reports & Settings/E&B Configuration/E&B Settings.

Dashboard QR code generator

We’ve made it easier and safer to generate QR codes for any Phreesia link created within the Dashboard.

Creating QR codes helps you easily direct patients to Phreesia, but not all QR code generators are secure. That’s why we’re now making it easy to create them within your Phreesia Dashboard.

QR codes created with our tool are static, which means patients can see that scanning a QR code will link directly to Phreesia—whereas other generators online may create dynamic links that make it harder to see the destination URL. Those dynamic links may also expose patient IP addresses to third parties.

For additional information, please contact your Phreesia representative.
