Beta

Patient Bill Pay: New “OnHold” tab now available in Beta

Sometimes, claim/charge workflows change from self-pay back to insurance while insurance is pending, which can cause confusion. We’ve now introduced a new tab, “OnHold,” to represent bills with charges that are pending insurance and help improve bill accuracy while saving staff time navigating bills.

Once pending insurance has been resolved, bills will return to the “Pending Review” tab.

This feature is currently available to members of the Beta program who use or are eligible to use the Patient Bill Pay product. For additional information and enablement instructions, please contact your Phreesia representative.

Payments

Patient Bill Pay: Multi-select now available on “Suppressed” tab

With this release, organizations using Patient Bill Pay can approve multiple bills in a single pass from the “Suppressed” tab. This functionality will help save staff time since they won’t need to approve each bill manually.

This feature will be automatically available upon release.

Registration

Extended availability of telehealth day-of links

Previously, if a patient entered their telehealth sessions via a link from Phreesia and then left, they couldn’t re-join—the platform marked their session as completed and the link was no longer available. This caused some patients to miss their telehealth appointments.

Now, patients can access their telehealth link via Phreesia’s workflows multiple times. The link will be available up to one hour after their scheduled appointment time, ensuring uninterrupted connectivity and flexibility.

This update will take place automatically for all organizations using Phreesia for telehealth.

Temporary phone number functionality for mobile dashboard

We have expanded the Temporary Phone Number functionality to be available on the Mobile Dashboard. Now, you can send text message communications to a patient without saving their phone number in the Dashboard. For example, if you’re communicating with a patient’s caregiver, the caregiver’s phone number won’t automatically save to the patient’s record.

Auto Post Check-in can now be configured across locations

Auto Post Check-in is now getting more configurable! Organizations who wish to use this feature can now enable for select locations, rather than enabling across an entire Admin page.

Upon release, organizations using Auto Post Check-in will see a location toggle next to the current Auto Post Check-In setting in Admin pages.

  • If this feature is already available for your organization, you will see the toggle configured as: “Enabled for all locations.”
  • If the feature is unavailable, you will see it configured as: “Disabled for all locations.”

For additional information and enablement instructions, please contact your Phreesia representative.

Improvements to photo capture on desktop registration – now available!

We’ve made it easier for patients to upload photos while completing their registration on a desktop computer. They can choose between uploading a saved image or taking a new photo with their webcam. This update will make it easier for patients to submit photos of their insurance cards or other images that your organization requests.

Previously, this update was only available to members of the beta program. It’s now generally available and will be enabled for all organizations upon release!
