The U.S. Preventive Services Task Force recently updated #mammogram guidelines by lowering the age for screenings to 40. It is crucial that patients get this message swiftly and clearly so they have the information they need to make decisions about their health. Our Chief Clinical Officer, Hilary Hatch, Ph.D. wrote in STAT about the importance of communicating these guidelines to patients effectively: https://lnkd.in/gnN6zTMR
“Have you had a mammogram yet?” That simple question, asked at the right time, is critical to early detection and prevention of breast cancer for many women. With the recent release of updated #mammogram guidelines by the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force, lowering the age for screenings to 40, it is more urgent than ever to ensure people get the message. I wrote an op-ed in STAT about how we can use simple messaging to communicate these guidelines to patients and make sure they know what preventive screenings they need. I am so proud of the work we are doing at Phreesia to prevent cancer by getting the message out to patients when they are thinking about their health and can take action. This is our #cancermoonshot. #cancerprevention https://lnkd.in/eeCtYzkW
